Our Story

About Heather

Heather was born December 28, 1983 to Jim and Jackie Barton. She grew up in Westfield, Indiana and attended Westfield High School. She attended Ball State University, majoring in Elementary Education.

Heather currently lives in Carmel, IN and works as a 2nd grade teacher at Hamilton Heights Primary School in Cicero, Indiana. She enjoys camping, home improvement and walking on the Monon trail.

About Andrew

Andrew was born May 23, 1984 to Mark and Paula Greider. He grew up in Greenwood, IN and attended Roncalli High School. He earned a BS in Marketing from Ball State University.

Andrew lives in Carmel, IN and works as a _______________ in ________________. He enjoys hockey, racing and avoiding doing the dishes

How we met

We met in our 3rd year at Ball State. We lived in the same apartment building. One night, Heather and her roommates held a social gathering and Andrew decided he would see what the noise was all about. We met, started chatting, and the rest is history...

The Engagement

On a Sunday in August we went for a walk on a nearby trail with the dogs. Andrew's shoe mysteriously kept coming untied. One of the times when it came untied he pulled out the ring and asked the question. Heather was totally surprised. Heather said yes immediately and the dogs barked in approval.

Bo & CJ

Bo is a 3 year old Basset Hound/German Shepherd mix. He was born in Muncie, IN and enjoys chasing mailmen, barking at neighbors, chewing...everything, and LOST.

CJ is a 3-5 year old Coon Hound mix from Noblesville, IN. She enjoys lounging on the couch, dreaming of squirrels, and belly rubs.
